I am using Outlook 10 with Gmail. I can still receive messages sent by others and messages I send to me from my android phone. Was this reply helpful?

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I do not receive any error messages when I send at this time. When I go to shutdown outlook it warns me that there are messages 4 in my outbox. I leave it run and when outlook shuts down the messages are still in the out box. One message has an attachment. When I upgraded to Outlook I imported my pst file and everything was there. I did not create a new gmail account. I am not using 2-factor authentication.

There are no warnings in my Gmail. I noticed that there is a 16 digit password that allows me to set sync settings, but I have no idea what it is. When I press the send receive button it seems to work for less than a second. It used to show a dialog box showing progress. I moved the unsent messages into drafts so if I have to set up my mailbox again they will be there. It’s good to know that I am not the only person having this problem.

Could it be a Microsoft Update? I uninstalled Outlook and installed it again. Fortunately when I bought it I kept the. I think the problem may be Microsoft Updates. I uninstalled every update to Outlook, but not the security updates. I uninstalled Outlook 10 and Office 10 and reinstalled them. I get one chance to send when I open Outlook the first time. After that the problem is the same. I can do this because when I purchase or download a program I store the execute file and the product key.

I reinstalled Office Now some word and excel files shortcuts on my desktop open a blank file. I have to use “open with” to open the file. This has nothing to do with the Outlook send issue, I think the shortcut doesn’t know which version of Word or Excel to open. I will now uninstall every security update to Outlook. I will uninstall every update related to Office also. It is a slow process and although I have delayed updates for 14 days I may get them all back. I will let you know it this solves the problem.

If not, I will have to take my laptop to a local trusted shop and see if they can fix the problem. I finally solved my issue by going into my Microsoft Outlook app page and finding my mail accounts and saw Gmail “download failed” next to the account. I had rechecked and changed some parameters in Gmail when it wasn’t working, such as “allow pop” and “allow imap.

I’m sorry I can’t tell you exactly why it worked on the 2nd try, but hopefully something I said might strike a cord and help you. Click the “settings” button on your computer and click on “accounts”, then click “sync your settings”. It will sync your email acct passwords to your devices. There is also a separate “mail” tab on the “accounts menu”, where you can manage your mail accts.

Make sure you enter the correct password for each account and you will see another option to sync the accounts. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Outlook Outlook. I installed office 19 last Friday, Outlook 19 is not sending either. I checked my account settings and they are correct. Should I create a new account?

There must be something I’m missing. Do they send if you press Send and Receive button or F9? I just set up Outlook yesterday with 2 separate email accounts. I can receive mail on both, but the Gmail acct will not send. After I compose the msg and hit send, it sits in my outbox. I keep getting a message to enter my password or correct sync settings. I have synced settings. Thanks for any ideas. In reply to CindyRivera2’s post on March 6, I don’t know anything about sync settings.

In reply to DanJacobsmeyer’s post on March 6, I still have the problem. In reply to DanJacobsmeyer’s post on March 7, In reply to DanJacobsmeyer’s post on March 8, I never got a message that it failed , So I deleted the Gmail account and added it again and now it is working properly. I can’t tell you why it failed on the first try and worked on the 2nd try, except that I had rechecked and changed some parameters in Gmail when it wasn’t working, such as “allow pop” and “allow imap. When it still didn’t work after all that changing, I deleted the acct and reloaded.

In reply to CindyRivera2’s post on March 8, Dan, You had said you don’t know anything about sync settings. You must sync your settings. This site in other languages x.
