I’m working in The idea is to create 4 quadrants on the screen for each speaker. Every speaker is grouped with several camera angels. I scaled and re-positioned each group using 3D wrap to create quadrants.

Then I decided to change one of the camera angles, but multigroup mode was not active. I’m pretty new to Avid, was making sure if I’m doing it right.

You have run into a technical limitation of Media Composer. Is it intended to show quadrants throughout, or more traditional, 1 image on screen at a time? If the “look” is quadrants, it seems you have 3 cameras per speaker Will your final output be a combination of those two “looks”? I dont ever use Multicamera mode- I never need it. I do use multigroups and groupclips all the time, though. Everything gets trimmed anyway. Yep, it is intended to show guadrants during certain moments.

I have 4 speakers plus a host. The idea is to create an illusion as if all the speakers are sitting in the same room at the same time. When one speaker is talking once in a while there’ll be a cut to a quadrant that shows other speakers listening and their reaction.

Kristina Kim:. So, where do you stand with it? Have you tried my suggestion about placing a 3D Warp FX on a higher track? As I see it, you would make a Sequence Map with at least 8 Tracks.

All 4 in sync on tbe timeline. Then each quadrant would offer the option of up to three caneras, is that right? Page 1 of 1 8 items. Multicam edit and applying effects.

Hi there, You have run into a technical limitation of Media Composer. Editing Movie Magic. It is now back, and changing Video Quality doesn’t help anymore I have reactivated my support case Support could repro Logged and Engineering is investigating.

Personally I never use mouse or num key for switching cameras. I am always assigning the cams from the command pallette to the keyboard F-buttons. In this way play does not stop when changing cameras. What is editing? I have the same problem. The workaround didn’t work for me, it makes no difference if use the mapped M keys or click with the mouse.

Everytime I make a multicam edit playback stops. I’m not seeing this. What type of media are you using and what are your project settings? Media Composer Thank you for the prompt.

I will give it a try and see what happens. Wondering if our issue is slightly different in that playback stops even when frame rates are matched.

Still bugged in Live cut with shortcuts “Next in Group” or “Previous in Group” stops the playback. Switching with the mouse in Multicam-mode and switching with the shortcuts “M1”, “M2”, etc.
