Publishing to Devices app menu item is integrated in Captivate. Follow the steps below:. Mention the version number, name of the app and the Package name for the app. While mentioning the package name, ensure that you give unique package name otherwise the existing project is replaced. Click More to choose your personal publishing preferences for the app, like geolocation, gestures, and accessibility. Click Next to provide the required certificate information for your app.
You can choose iOS or Android or both by clicking the check boxes adjacent to them and provide certificate information corresponding to each platform. Adobe Captivate uses the PhoneGap service at the backend to build the app.
After the app is built, you are prompted to download the app as shown in the snapshot. Once you click the download, you can see PhoneGap site. If you want to compile your eLearning course as an iOS application, you need to be registered as an Apple developer and pay the annual Apple Developer fee. This will give you access to the Apple Developer website where you will be able to access your Apple signing certificate. Certificates and authentication keys are essential for users to enable security for their accounts and prevent any unauthorized access.
After you log in with PhoneGap user ID and password, click Next in Publish window, and provide certificate info in the dialog as shown below:. AppleKey title in the above snapshot represents the certificate name that you uploaded in PhoneGap build. Your certificates are populated in the Title drop-down after you upload them in PhoneGap build website.
Similarly, the keys you uploaded to PhoneGap build appear in Title drop-down. You can continue to publish even if you do not have keys for Android by choosing No key selected option. To locate the comment that you want to edit, move your pointer over the markers. The comment added at a location is displayed when the pointer moves over it. Click the marker on the seek bar whose comment you want to edit or delete.
The comment is displayed in a pop-up window. If others have replied to a comment, only the latest comment in the comment thread can be edited. Authors and reviewers can import comments from XML files sent to them. Comments imported from XML files appear at the same location in the Timeline if the author has not edited the file during the review process.
Reviewers can export comments to an XML file and send it to the author. The author can import the XML file, provide feedback, export the file, and send it to the reviewers. To sort comments by reviewer name, click Filter Comments. In the Reviewers pop-up menu, select names of the reviewers to view comments posted by those reviewers.
Some of the options available for sorting are available only when the author uses Adobe Captivate to review the project. The Comments panel appears. Comments posted by reviewers are displayed in the panel. The author can accept, reject, or reply to comments posted by reviewers. Reviewers can view feedback posted by the author when they refresh the contents of their application. Add the questions and finally upload in the Captivate project.
Or you can populate the questions in macro enabled excel sheet and generate a CSV file from it. The main advantage of this CSV file is to import bulk questions into your project that saves development time.
