Adobe ceased to support my old version, the documents turned blue onscreen and none of the features worked. I use the thumbnail view extensively, it has been replaced by a combine button that stacks all pages of a document in one small stack, making it almost impossible to use. I’ve done research but haven’t seen anything that advises how to get to the thumbnail view. I’m sure it’s buried somewhere in the program, but I haven’t found it yet.

The rest of the new features are just as opaque. I am sure that if this were my first Adobe program, I would be able to figure it out, but it is very frustrating that all of the easy to use features of prior versions are gone or hidden away somewhere. I’ll stick it out, Adobe has always made great pdf programs, but the learning curve in this edition is unreasonably steep for long-time users. The conversion was perfect! Formatting was spot on. That’s really incredible. I copied the pages I wanted saved them as Word, then a pdf file, and inserted the pages into the existing document. When I graduate I will no longer be able to validate through my university e-mail, yet this is supposed to be a permanent license I did finally reach someone “live” and they said to keep my serial number and sign in personally and it should work, but there is nothing that can be done to re-register the program once it has been registered through the University account.

So when I log on through my personal account, it says I don’t own anything. They won’t let me uninstall and re-install under the correct personal account. They say I should still be able to log in with the serial number and my personal information once I graduate, but they won’t re-register the account under my name, so it’s disconcerting to say the least. It would be great if I just hadn’t made that mistake OR if they had helped me when I called!

The software functionality itself is great, but I don’t like that you have to be logged in to use it. I would think a desktop version wouldn’t require you to be signed in as if it were a subscription.
